Who is on air when: the free schedule for PHP-Fusion v7

  • DJs, Infusion, Sendeplan, PHP 8.4, Gr_Sendeplan, Moderatoren, PHP-Fusion v7

Which show is on when, and who presents it? The schedule shows the programme of your web radio on its own page of your website, for the current week and as a preview of the next one. It is free and runs on PHP-Fusion v7 with PHP 5 to 8.4.

What the schedule can do

  • Weekly overview: the current week from Monday to Sunday in 1-hour or 2-hour slots, plus a preview of the next week
  • DJ and show: the DJ's picture with a link to their profile and an info box with the topic of the show
  • DJs book themselves: presenters and guest presenters book free slots, edit the show title and remove themselves again
  • Admin group: you and a group of your choice manage all shows
  • Special shows: admins can also add shows without a profile, e.g. for guests
  • Regular slots: you do not have to enter recurring shows again every week
  • Offline times: a period without shows with its own message
  • Auto DJ: free slots show “Auto DJ”, with a picture if you like

In the admin area you decide what your DJs may do: book, edit, remove, book only in the preview week. You also decide whether visitors can see the preview.

Where the schedule comes from

The schedule is based on Gr_Sendeplan v2.1 by Ralf Thieme (Gr@n@dE). The original no longer ran on current PHP versions. We reworked it and released it as version 2.2 under the AGPLv3 license.

New in version 2.2:

  • Runs on PHP 8.4 and still on PHP 5
  • The window for adding and editing shows no longer ends with an error message
  • DJs can only edit and remove their own shows and can no longer overwrite booked slots
  • The preview is reliably moved into the new week, even if nobody opens the page on Monday
  • An apostrophe in the show title no longer breaks the info box
  • Installation works on current MySQL and MariaDB

Requirements

  • A website running PHP-Fusion v7.
  • PHP 5 to 8.4.
  • MySQL 4.1 or later, or MariaDB.

Which CMS suits your station is explained in our guide CMS for radio stations.

Download

Get the schedule for free on GitHub: Schedule v2.2

Important: Download the file “gr_sendeplan_v2.2.zip”, not “Source code”.

Installation in five steps

  1. Unzip the file and upload the contents of the php_files folder to the root directory of your website.
  2. Log in as an administrator and open the infusion management under “System Admin”.
  3. Install Gr_Sendeplan.
  4. Create user groups in PHP-Fusion for your presenters and guest presenters and add your DJs. A third group for schedule admins is optional.
  5. Open the Gr_Sendeplan admin, select the three groups and set the slot length, DJ permissions, regular slots, preview and offline times.

The “Sendeplan” link is added to your navigation automatically during installation. Your DJs book free slots right there via the “Frei” (free) link.

Updating from version 2.1

Already using Gr_Sendeplan v2.1? Just upload the new files and overwrite the old ones. The database stays unchanged, and your shows and settings are kept.

The right hosting

  • Radio hosting: stream server with LexyCast and web space for your radio website
  • laut.fm hosting: if you broadcast on laut.fm and want your own website

To go with it, the free team list presents your team, and the CxM Radiostatus Panel shows what is playing.
